You can choose to take a stroll in the local areas, visit the markets and get some souvenirs from your trip. On the way, you can even pay quick visit to the temples. If you want to try the local cuisines, try that out too!

The day will start early with a boat ride on the river Ganges. Manikarnika Ghat and Harishchandra Ghat are the two most popular ghats (staircase along the river bed) but there are many more ghats as well which you can explore while riding on the boat. Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the most reverred place of the region which also holds immense mythological reverence.
Just a few kilometres away from Varanasi is Sarnath which is a very special place for the Buddhism followers.
Come back in the evening if you do not wish to miss the grandeur of the Aarti ceremony along the banks of Ganga.
